Togethia Broadband services include a choice of bandwidth, symmetry and configuration options. This means that there is now a service to match the differing needs of individual businesses. ADSL (asymmetric Broadband) service options include downstream bandwidths of 512kbps, 1Mbps, 2Mbps and 8Mbps*, and upstream bandwidth of 256Kbps, 448Kbps* and 848Kbps*. These always on services can exist on the same connection as a BT phone line and use most of the available channel to transmit downstream to the user. ADSL is ideal for businesses with centrally managed applications shared across a network or those with outsourced hosting and higher incoming bandwidth needs. SDSL (symmetric Broadband) service options provide equal bandwidth - at either 1Mbps or 2Mbps - for both upstream and downstream traffic. SDSL is a more appropriate solution for businesses hosting mail, web or data servers and where the ability to send large files, for example is a major dependency. SDSL is a dedicated service, so no BT phone line is needed and the channel is not shared with voice traffic.

Togethia Broadband offers further flexibility through a choice of NAT configuration with one static IP address, or non-NAT configuration with different sized static IP blocks. NAT (Network Address Translation) is designed to simplify IP addressing. It operates on a router and can be configured to "advertise" a single address for the entire network to the outside world. This provides additional security, effectively hiding the entire internal network from the world behind that address. By contrast, a non-NAT configuration allows the router to pass a pool of IP addresses to host devices such as a business own e-mail or web servers. All Togethia Broadband services have a fixed monthly or annual rental charge that varies with the bandwidth, contention ration, symmetry and Managed Service options chosen. There is also a one-off installation fee, and a range of routers are available for purchase with the service.

Togethia Broadband is delivered over the highly advanced THUS national network. To provide effective Internet access for Togethia Broadband customers, THUS connects to five global networks, to the two largest European Internet exchanges, and across the Atlantic to key Internet Exchanges in the USA. THUS' major Internet connections have duplicate links from separate THUS sites to ensure stability and reliability. To prevent congestion, THUS maintains spare capacity on every link to other networks, upgrading links before they can become bottlenecks.
